Rudder Mk2, Pivot bolt (AKA “Pico MegaBolt”) – Bug & Pico

Description

Rudder Mk2, Pivot bolt (AKA “Pico MegaBolt”) – Bug & Pico

The nylock nut sits into a hexagon shaped recess on one side of the rudder head.

The set screw/bolt then enters from the opposite side, passing through the pivot point of the rudder blade

Tightening or slackening can then be easily achieved by a screwdriver with a slotted bit.

The most convenient setting is tight enough for the rudder blade to  stay in the up position for launching & recovery but still moves easily to lower into the sailing position.
