Stratos – An overview

The Stratos was designed by Phil Morrison.

It was marketed by LaserPerformance as both the Stratos (with centerboard) & the Stratos Keel.

The two boats were very similar but there were some subtle differences.

Production of the centerboard version was discontinued in 2008 but production of the keel version, which was popular in North America, continued for some while after that.
The molds then found their way to Germany only to sit outside exposed to the weather for a number of years.
As far as we are are aware the moulds were on poor condition & destroyed either in late 2024 or sometime 2025.

Sail and Sport continues to supply remaining owners & operators with sails, spars, foils & fittings.
