Centerboard / Daggerboard, Stop set (Hard) – Laser

The Laser’s Daggerboard (also referred to as a Centerboard) is required to be fitted with a “Stop set” in order to comply with class rules.

The rule is intended to prevent:
1) The Centerboard/Daggerboard slipping down in the case & either becoming lost or causing damage.
2) A greater area of Centerboard/Daggerboard being utilised & thus perhaps an advantage being gained.

Supplied in black the three parts are secured by friction.

To fit:
1) Align the three parts through the hole in the in the Centerboard / Daggerboard to fit the aerofoil shape.
2) Press firmly together. (A G-clamp or rubber mallet may be required).
